Pioneering baseload

renewables

Renewable power for islands, every hour of the year, guaranteed

We develop utility-scale baseload renewable energy projects on islands: projects that materially reduce the cost of electricity. We develop, finance and build at our own cost and risk.

What an island gains

With a Baseload renewable Energy System(BRES) project

Five things that change

Baseload renewable energy systems replace most of an island's diesel with solar and storage, sized to serve literally every hour of the year.

  • 01 RENEWABLE POWER AROUND THE CLOCK

Solar and many hours of battery energy storage are sized together, so the island runs on renewable power through the night, not just at noon.

  • 02 A MATERIALLY LOWER COST OF ELECTRICITY

BRES now generate power at rates far below diesel generation. Our projects are designed to make this cost reduction available to island populations.

  • 03 A price YOU CAN RELY ON

BRES deliver a guaranteed cost for the next 10 to 15 years, so the price of power is fixed and is not volatile as the oil market.

  • 04 NO DEVELOPMENT RISK FOR THE ISALND

We develop, finance and build at our own cost and risk. The island buys the power or leases the installation, but avoids the project risk.

  • 05 YOUR THERMAL FLEET BECOMES THE RESERVE

The existing generators stay connected as backup for rare weather events, such as a long cloud spells.

Who we work with

Every island grid serves a variety of consumers. We design one system that should cover the demand of all, cooperating with the existing generators & utilities.

  • Island utilities

Lower, more predictable generation cost without compromising reliability. Engineered for 24/7 supply and grid-forming control.

  • Governments

Energy independence, lower import bills and a clear path away from imported fuel, delivered without public development risk.

  • Airports & ports

Critical sites that need power every hour, with room to electrify ground operations as they grow.
